In order to get the best of Shanghai, we have sketched three short term packages to get to the very heart of the city:
Shanghai by Boat
This package includes an overall discovery of Shanghai from the river with comments on both history and architecture of the city. Pudong and Puxi as seen from the river give an accurate insight on Shanghai urban developement. The tour goes on with a typical Shanghaienese lunch in a lilong in the heart of the Former French Concession and a commented visit of the French Concession - from 1 to 6 persons, adapted for children because of little walking.
Old Shanghai and Former French Concession
This package is designed to let visitors compare architecture and living styles in both Old Shanghai and Former French Concession. The tour includes a visit of Yu Garden, one of the three better preserved classical Chinese gardens in China, traditional houses in Old Shanghai which used to be called Nantao. We will take visitors to a traditional tea-house to enjoy xiaolongbao, one of Shanghai specialities in a Shanghai 30s atmosphere, then finish with an overall discovery of Forner French Concession - from 1 to 6 persons
Bund and Former French Concession
This package includes an in-depth discovery of the Bund, one of the gems of Shanghai. We will comment and visit art-deco splendid Peace Hotel, pride of its founder, Shanghai magnate Victor Sassoon, Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank, British Club, etc... The small size of our group will allow us to access hidden details of the buildings like stained-glass of mosaics. The tours goes on with a lunch in a lilong inside the Former French Concession and a commented visit of it. - from 1 to 6 people
